Okay, so, I guess I am obsessed with this lipstick? I’m not even totally sure lipstick is the right word for it. I mean, it is in the sense that it is a stick and you put it on your lips, but it honestly feels a bit more magical than that. Remember how I was complaining a couple of weeks ago about my favorite lipstain having been discontinued in, like, 2011? This almost makes up for that. It’s not a stain—the consistency is more akin to a balm, although the color is very build-able, and it definitely doesn’t last for hours and hours. But it’s so easy and fun to put on that you almost don’t mind that it wore off? And it fades nicely, not in that way that some lip colors do (cough, Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, cough) that makes you look kind of like a mess until you get to a mirror or some other shiny surface and deal with it.
I own it in two colors: Like, which is very, very natural on me, and Jam, which is a bit more of a look (although still not: I’M WEARING LIPSTICK, it’s softer than that), and I have already convinced my mother, my sister, my co-blogger, and my friend Sarah G. to get it. Who’s next? Use this link and you’ll get 20% off, and, full disclosure, I’ll get credit too, which I will use to either buy another one (probably Crush, I think Cake would be terrible on me) or possibly to buy some other things from Glossier because while I was initially very, very skeptical about this brand thanks to the fact that I tried the Mega Greens Galaxy Pack after picking it up from some magazine’s beauty closet or another and found it to be underwhelming, at best, and possibly whitehead-causing, at worst, I am now feeling a lot more interested in investigating what else our old Teen Vogue intern from five thousand years ago has been up to. —Lauren
